It was delicious. But that probably just means I have the tastebuds of a toddler. Still, I get the urge to try new things a lot, so I figured I'd share those things with someone. Sometimes my efforts go horribly wrong, like the time I attempted to make Slutty Brownies and ended up dumping the entire pan on the floor.
Let me tell you, I almost cried about that one. A delicious mixture of brownies, Oreos, and chocolate chip cookies, fed to the floor. But from each failure, I learn and generally things turn out better the next time I try them. I've almost come up with an acceptable homemade salsa recipe (a few more attempts should do it), and I have successfully crocheted a scarf. I have potential and I'm learning, which is what life is all about right? I'm learning how to be a domestic queen, which may never actually happen, but at least I'll have fun along the way. And I'll learn things that will help me be a better mom and hopefully someday wife, as well. And I'm sharing the hilarity with you all.
So who am I? I'm a 20-something woman, musician, new first-time (single) mom to the cutest baby boy on earth (I'm not biased, I swear). I like to watch the Food Network and Project Runway and that somehow convinces me I can cook and make pretty things. I have an amazing supportive family and group of friends. I'm trying to figure myself out and have fun in the process. Won't you join me?
